Carl Douglas “Doug” Hager, 58, of Bunker Hill, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born March 11, 1965, in Martinsburg, WV, he is the son of Bonnie Collis Hager and the late Carl Hager.

Doug worked in shipping for Champion Iron Works and Sexton Can Company for 30 years. He had a very strong faith and was a lifelong member of Mountain View Church of the Brethren.

Doug was a member of Shenandoah Valley Steam and Gas Engine Association, in Berryville, VA. He was a 1984 graduate of Musselman High School. He was skilled in antique gas engine repair and enjoyed traveling the country to various shows. His involvement in this association led to many lasting friendships.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Laura Hager; and nephew, Devin Hager.

Funeral service will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11AM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Michael Staubs officiating.

Family will receive friends Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 6PM to 8PM at the chapel. Interment will be in Paynes Chapel Cemetery.
